Fashion photography is one of the most popular genres in the photographic world, and one of my favorites I have to say. It is based in showing fashion items such as clothing, cosmetics or accesories in the most creative and efficient way in order to be able to sell those products. The photographer must express his talent and creativity while mastering photography and lighting techniques.

Like fashion, the photography related to this discipline is exciting; and it is constantly changing. It is a genre that plays with the experimentation and the personal expression.

In professional fashion-oriented photography there are different disciplines; including catwalk photography in order to capture fashion shows and events, catalog photography; photographing products such as jewelry, accesories, shoes or bags in a studio; editorial photography for fashion magazines and catalogs and campaign photography in order to capture the brand image of a company; which entails teamwork of stylist, models, proper location, etc.

In fashion photography, the proper use of lighting is very important due to de optical effects it produces such as the play of light and shadows, softens or marks colors or highlights volumes.

The following images are from a photoshoot in studio that I really enjoyed because we played with different colors in the clothes and in the background and the model was so inspirational for this type of photogrpahy. He played with his clothes and he moved so natural so I really loved the result.
