Beauty photography is a type of photography in which the protagonist of the image is the skin and/or the makeup of the model. Possible items og clothing, if any, cannot attract the attention of the viewer, for obvious reasons of prominence.

The composition in this type of photography does not have to be only of the face. They can be another parts of the body: lips, eyes, torso, legs, etc. and even a full body, as long as the protagonist is still skin or the makeup, as we have already mentioned.

To carry out this type of photography,  very careful lighting is required where the volumes of the face are adequately highlithted, given a very natural appearence. Lighting in many cases is artificial (flash or continuous light), with Beauty Dish type modifiers, but it is also feasible to do it succesfully with softbox, umbrella and even with natural light.

This images have a lot of retouching behind them because all have to be perfect, the nails of the model were not that cover, her hair was frizzy and the background was not that smooth. This type of photography requires care during the photoshoot but also afterwards to get the best result because it has a lot of details.
